There are many different ways photographers approach newborn photography. While I can appreciate all the different styles, I prefer to photograph newborn babies the way I remember my two newborn babies.  My girls are growing up now and I have to admit I am finding it hard to remember the tiny details when they were brand new.  Once in a while I get memories of how tiny and long my eldest legs were as she stretched them out. Or how my youngest had a sweet little tuft of hair that stuck straight up.  The sweet smell of newborn hair.  The many expressions that kept me captivated for hours.  Tiny sweet yawns with arm stretched above the head.  Perfect tiny toes.  The reflex grasp of little fingers.  Tiny milk bubbles on their lips.  Cuddling a sleeping baby on my chest.

These are the things I remember and cherish.

These are the moments I want to preserve for you during your Victoria BC newborn photography session.  With my approach to natural newborn photography I like to keep it real.  I love authentic natural poses that will be timeless.  I capture real life moments.  Those big yawns, wrinkly foreheads, smiles and pouty lips.

Most important,  my very favourite moments to photograph are the family connections with their new baby.  Love and bonding happens so fast and I adore to preserve it forever.  From dad’s big hand’s gently protecting and holding baby.  To mom’s adoring gaze into her new babies eyes.  A brother or sisters fascination with the new member of the family.
